MicroPlayer mkIII+ devices are used in a variety of contexts:

• Point-of-sale promotions, information and sound systems for storefronts
• In museums, to broadcast information or sound effects based on events triggered by sensors or push buttons.

Supported Audio File Formats

• MP3 (.mp3): MPEG-1/2 Audio Layer III, mono / stereo, 16 bits, 44.1 kHz, 32 kbps to 320 kbps, CBR (Constant Bit Rate) or VBR (Variable Bit Rate), with or without ID3v1/2 metadata¹
• Proprietary Obfuscated MP3 File Format (.mp3): to protect MP3 audio content²
• WAV (.wav): mono / stereo, LPCM 16 bits, 44.1 kHz, WAVE_FORMAT_PCM or WAVE_FORMAT_EXTENSIBLE¹ Some ID3v1 and ID3v2.4 end-of-file metadata may cause unwanted noise at the end of files.² Contact Waves System for more information regarding this feature.

Other Supported File Formats

• TXT (.txt): files for serial link (serial.txt) and configuration (config.txt) in plain text format (printable 7-bit ASCII characters only) with CR / LF, LF, or CR end-of-line characters.
