For several years now, DéfiPlanet’ has been welcoming visitors to a unique world, nestled in the heart of a 50-hectare estate near Poitiers, in the Vienne region of France. In 2024, the park called on Alive Technology to bring Areka to life, a 100% nature adventure game imagined by Faerya Concept.
The aim was to provide an interactive experience by creating multi-sensory environments, combining sound and light, to enhance participants’ immersion.
DéfiPlanet’ wanted to set up an immersive scenographic journey through the park, integrating sound, video, light and interactivity.
The scenography presented certain space constraints, requiring a compact technical solution to limit the number of devices.
Already familiar with the EVP380, used in other projects, Alive Technology identified this all-in-one player as the ideal solution to meet these needs.
Alive Technology chose the EVP380, renowned for its ability to synchronize audio and video, manage the Artnet protocol, and be driven by a showcontroller. This player manages several technical aspects: video, multi-channel sound, Artnet, and synchronization with other players such as the VP320, simplifying overall implementation.
In all, more than 30 readers are installed along the entire route.
Thanks to the compactness of its equipment, Alive Technology was able to adapt to the space constraints imposed by the project, while offering a reliable solution made in France.
The simple, comprehensive web interface made it easy for us to configure the products. The all-in-one solution proved to be a major asset for our project.
We discovered additional features such as video scaling, which were very useful.
The uniformity of the interface between the VP320 and EVP380 also facilitated technical management throughout the project.’
