Integrated Systems Europe, often referred to as ISE, is the world’s largest AV systems integration show. This annual four-day event, held each year in February, is organized and managed by Integrated Systems Events.

Since the first Integrated Systems Europe in 2004, the event has grown year after year. In 2020, ISE hosted over 1,300 exhibitors (with countless new product launches) for 116,000 visitors.

A little history

In 2008 in Amsterdam, the show consolidated its position as the leading trade show for the audio visual integration industry. From 16,269 visitors and 363 booths in 2007, the show has grown to more than 116,000 visitors and 1200 exhibitors.

In 2021 the show will officially move to Barcelona. Indeed, the city has larger premises that are perfectly suited to the rapid development of the show.

Mr. Blackman reminded the press that ISE 2008 was already ten times larger than the original Geneva show, four years earlier. The show lasted only three days, and many visitors were shocked to discover that the show closed early on the third and final day when they still had plenty to see.

Exhibitors

Professional integrators from all fields marveled at the ability to find all the necessary hardware as well as software they needed for their systems and projects. Home automation and IP infrastructure solutions were attracting a new class of professionals, from building automation companies, architects, office designers, IT managers and many others never before seen at pro-AV shows.

The vast majority of exhibitors said ISE was the ideal show to meet with key project leaders and instigators in areas they had never seen before, such as public address, building industry and corporate facilities. The AV manufacturers in attendance quickly saw the opportunity and expanded their offerings to meet the growing installation possibilities in all application segments. This caused a major reorganization of other more entertainment-oriented events and encouraged manufacturers to invest more in product areas that were previously considered “not particularly exciting.”

Its purpose

The entire ISE experience is designed to educate and entertain. In addition, the partners organize a range of conferences. They cover several areas, such as new technologies in gyms and digital signage (very trendy topics at the moment).
